Matt Kinsman - 2008 - Film Career Begins

2008

In 2008 I was working away at a produce distribution outfit as a storeman, I was recently married and at the time my chief goal was to become a rapper...however over time and being always short money (a theme I'd become used to over the next four years) I eventually let that dream go. I learnt of a film festival called the V 48hour film festival where teams had 48 hours to write, shoot and edit a short 7 minute film. Our very own classic :)

Future Gangstas vs Past gangsters
The only one missing from the above shot, Hayden's got a gun ;)

Naive and full of enthusiasm I rushed in, got together some mates and some cheap equipment and shot my first film, All the time in the world which I have included as a embedded video below. Though it was fun to make it taught me heaps about planning, time management, and building a team. You can see Deleted scenes and Outtakes in the Making of which is also included below. It was fun weekend and we had a good laugh about it when we got to see it on the bigscreen, unfortunately due to it being over the limit thanks to the rendering time of our 'special effects' and late, we were disqualified. Anyway, check it out, it's fun.
